About Addison Youth

Addison Youth was formerly a youth centre on Redan Street in the Addison ward of Hammersmith and Fulham.

A youth club operated on the site since 1937 but by 2018 the building, a chapel built in 1879, was increasingly hard to maintain and unfit for the purposes needed, so the Trustees reluctantly made the decision to close the club.

The building was sold in 2019 and the proceeds of the sale invested to create an endowment to support youth organisations and young people in Hammersmith and Fulham, and the area near the club. By using the funds for grant-making rather than maintaining an aging building, more young people will benefit for many years to come.

The fund launched for applications in 2020 and has evolved since that time to meet the needs of young people in the community.
